MWWC is an active club for women walkers of all ages and includes both metropolitan and country members. Our program covers a wide range of activities, however the club's primary focus is bushwalking with walks of various types, gradings and distances frequently scheduled. These activities include daywalks, backpacking, base camping and accommodation trips. As well, members can participate in urban walks, cycling, canoeing and conservation work. There are also regular social gatherings throughout the year and a training program in bushwalking skills.
Transport to club activities is by car pooling, public transport or coach.
Most day walks are within two hours drive of Melbourne.
All potential members and visitors are welcome. Prospective new members are required to participate in two full day walks within three months before membership is approved.
To try out bushwalking with our club, come on our next Newcomers' Walk or simply attend a regular club walk any weekend.
Please Note: Club activities are run in accordance with current Victorian Roadmap guidelines and participation in club activities is only available for fully vaccinated people.
